Just got my tickets for this!! Can’t wait…….”I AM AMAZING!!!”
The further I travel down this natural nazi road (and I’m pretty much half way down…) the more I’m finding out that this hair mess is a full time job/obsession. I am totally consumed with carrier oils, flexirods, spray bottles and SHEA BUTTER, like it’s out of fashion. YouTube tutorials….. let me tell you, I watch them and even get a fuzzy feeling inside to know that the women (The one’s doing all the yt vids) are as obsessed with their hair as I have become. I mean these women are DEDICATED to the natural hair doctrine weather they have 3a/4a or 4c hair!!
Im farrrrr gone………I’ve even booked tickets to a natural hair event (to ask more questions and buy more stuff!!), Im mixing my own poisons like the wicked witch of the west!!!!

And with all the hours I am putting into my hair journey, it’s fair to say that the weight quest has taken a nap! Much like natural hair, losing weight will be as successful as your obsession with it, and I only have energy to be obsessed with one thing at a time (sad face.)
I could always go jogging when I DC*?? Why do I wanna make such big changes to myself at once??! I just confuse myself and send a load of cash. ((fed up face))
My mum says I lack a real passion/hobby; I tell her to put my kimmaytube* giovanni leave in mixture down ( as she cakes her hair in it) and step away from my argan oil*! Lol
you would think that Ms Minaj could afford a DECENT hairdresser to install her lacewigs properly!!! The Hairline is ALWAYS JACKED UP!!!???!………….

…………. ALWAYS!!!!

Its so annoying and looks so bad. I don’t know why, but I feel a bit shame when I see her in the newspapers and magazines with these wigs ………. and I don’t even wear the ratchet things!!
There are PLENTY celebrities who wear them, you mean to tell me not one of them can hook her up!!! I’m sure hairdressers would do anything to do her hair why not just take them up on the offer.
Part of me things things its all apart of the whole POSSESSED, Roman thing she’s into; either way she shouldn’t be walking around in the public eye, as a black women ….from New York…. looking like a “pastel barbarella”!! LOOL

She should be ashamed of herself LOL!!
I have lived in this earth for 23 years, and as a black female I have had an array of hairstyles; cornrows, box braids, weaves, top knots, a curly perm, straight perms, press outs, chinny bumps (Bantu Knots)….THE LIST GOES ON!!!!
No matter where I am and no matter how I have my hair one thing never gets old…the white female colleague/ friend/acquaintance shouting to words…
AWWW your hair is different!!!
Some would say that I wish to draw attention to myself, considering the rate of change (sometimes up to two styles a month); or that the asking party is just curious as it’s not something they practice.
But the above excuses don’t wash with me. The barrage of following statement like…
Does it hurt?
or
So what is your actual hair?
and
How long does it take?
To me takes ignorance and patronising to new heights. Other statements like….
Isn’t that clever
and
How do you do it then?
Oh and my favourite
YOU people are always doing stuff to your hair aren’t ya
Strikes me as beyond off putting, especially when white women, brown women, asian women…ALL WOMEN do all manner of things to their hair and bodies.
Why is the middle age, middle class, English women in my experience are so backwards and plain ignorant when it comes to black people in general….. well apart from black men (but that’s a whole other topic!!).
If you know that I, as a colleague change my hair, like I change clothes, why is it necessary to point out (as loud as you can) your ignorance and slight racism!
Why is my hair of such importance, that it has to be explained (albeit without a PowerPoint Presentation and 18th century circus like freak show display) ON EVERY OCASION!!
Instead of saying….
Your hair looks nice
And move on to other matters in hand, she will probably sit there trying to work out something that is of no personal concern…..
And what do I do, while seething at the very utterance of the statements…. maybe reel of my thoughts just as loud as them??
No! That would just prove the whole angry black women theory everyone has…. so I breathe in, whisper to myself…
Lord, I really love You, thanks you for your Grace and Mercy….
And explain… over and over again, maybe as I get older and more established I will have to courage to say,
It’s none of your concern, but thank you for expressing your interest.
But until then I guess I’m stuck!
Please find below a VERY VERY BLURRY picture of my new crotchet braids…

I did it myself, it took all day Saturday, it doesn’t hurt, my own hair is plaited into/ weaved into the store brought hair…. I’m not that clever I just watched a couple YouTube Video on the method…..
Oh and yeah some black women do have allot of different hairstyles…. our hair is quite different from caucasian like hair; it is very versatile and can sometimes be difficult to handle on a daily basis. Different styles just help me personally manage/ protect my hair from the harsh British weather. It also allows me to express different facets of my personality/ mood at the time, plus I think it really looks nice!
Satisfied??!??
